2024 started with one piece. The beaded tassel top. A small, delicate idea that unexpectedly reopened the creative door for House of Parnel.

The Spark

The Birth of Until I See the Sun

I made the tassel top simply because I needed to make something beautiful again. I didn’t realize how much I missed that feeling until I saw it finished. Soft shimmer, gentle movement, something quietly alive.

I chose the fabric on instinct. The rose detail against muted gray and silver felt like a bloom in low light. The silver hinted at hope and the promise of color returning, while the gray invited you to really see the design. Its texture, its patience, its quiet elegance.

That contrast inspired the name Until I See the Sun: beauty emerging before the light comes back.

That single design became the foundation of Until I See the Sun, a collection rooted in emerging from heaviness and allowing light to return slowly, honestly, and on its own timing. Mirroring my own journey back to mental stability after experiencing a tumultuous awakening of sorts in 2022. 

The top represented: a reawakening of creativity, a soft return to self, and a reminder that beauty can spark healing.

The Reopening of the House

From that spark came a full relaunch — new wearables, renewed storytelling, and a deeper vision that blended fashion, scent, and meaning. The tassel top was a turning point.

It marked the moment House of Parnel really began again, and the end of a 5 year burn out.
